Cancellation & Refund Policies
At Companion Skatepark, we understand that schedules change, kids get sick, emergencies happen, and sometimes plans simply need to be adjusted. We are a small, community-focused organization and will always make a reasonable effort to work with our customers when plans change.
The policies below are intended to protect both our customers and Companion when time, staffing, facility space, and program spots have been reserved.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund or may be rescheduled at no additional charge.
For cancellations made on the day of the lesson, Companion will work with the participant to reschedule the lesson. The first same-day reschedule will be provided at no additional charge. Repeated same-day cancellations or rescheduling requests may be subject to a $20 rescheduling fee.
Our goal with rescheduling or canceling lessons is always to find another opportunity for the participant to skate and receive the instruction they paid for whenever reasonably possible.
Because camp registrations reserve a limited space for an entire camp session, the following cancellation policy applies:

Cancellations made 14 days or more before the start of camp are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made 13 days or fewer before the start of camp are eligible for a 50% refund, or the registration may be rescheduled to another available Companion camp session when space is available at full value.

Medical emergencies, family emergencies, and other exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by Companion on a case-by-case basis. We will do everything we can to reschedule and/or try to issue a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
Transfers to another camp/clinic session are subject to availability.
Cancellations made at least 96 hours before the scheduled start time of a party or private rental are eligible for a full refund or may be rescheduled at no additional charge.
For cancellations made less than 96 hours before the scheduled start time, Companion will first make every reasonable effort to reschedule the party or rental at no additional charge.
If another suitable date cannot be arranged, Companion may issue a refund of 75% of the amount paid.
Special Events
Cancellation and refund terms for special events may vary depending on the size, type, staffing requirements, outside vendors, and other circumstances surrounding the event.
Specific terms may be established between Companion and the event organizer at the time the event is scheduled. Any written event-specific agreement will take priority over this general policy.
Unless otherwise agreed, event organizers should provide at least 7 days' notice to receive a full refund of refundable deposits or rental fees.
Whenever possible, Companion will work with the event organizer to reschedule a canceled event without additional rescheduling charges.
If Companion cancels
If Companion must cancel a lesson, camp, party, rental, program, or other paid activity because of staffing, facility conditions, severe weather, safety concerns, or another circumstance that prevents us from providing the scheduled service, participants will be offered either:

A full refund; or

The opportunity to reschedule or transfer the registration to another available date.
No-Shows
Participants who do not attend a scheduled lesson, program, party, rental, or other reservation without providing notice are generally not eligible for a refund.
However, because we understand that unexpected circumstances can occur, Companion may work with the participant to reschedule the service at a reduced cost when scheduling and availability allow.
Any reduced-cost rescheduling following a no-show is provided at Companion's discretion.
Exceptional Circumstances
We recognize that emergencies, illnesses, severe weather, and unexpected family situations happen. Companion reserves the right to make reasonable exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis.
We encourage customers to contact us as soon as possible when they know they will be unable to attend a scheduled activity.
Event-Specific Terms
Certain camps, contests, fundraising events, special programs, rentals, or other activities may have cancellation or refund terms specific to that event.
When event-specific terms are provided during registration or in a written agreement, those terms will take priority over this general Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Companion Skatepark reserves the right to update this policy as our programs and services change.
